RESTORATIONS - KEN'S 1965 BUG
This car was a one owner all original, belonging to Ken's mom. When she passed away, he inherited the car. It was driven occasionally. He decided it was time to make some repairs because the driver's seat was falling through the floor. Initial inspections revealed the floors where almost completely rotted out, along with both heater channels, all 4 fenders & basically the entire bottom 6" of the car.

The 1st order of business was welding in braces inside the car, so that when all the rusted out metal was cut out, the car would not sag. This is critical to maintaining proper alignment & ease of door opening & closing. The rest of the car was actually incredible well preserved. The engine was just removed & cleaned.

All 5 rims where powdercoated gloss white. The pedals & gear shifter where done in gloss black. Here the car is, all body work done & ready for paint.

While at the painter, the interior was completely redone in factory look red leatherette. 3 point seat belts where also added

WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Body work & paint, powdercoating, upholstery, along with all new brakes, tires & key suspension items. This car runs like new & will give another 30 years or service!
